If some one cut off my nose!

Today Nicole was pushing the dog. She was taking her wagon and pushing it into the dog. I told her she had to stop touching the dog:
Nicole: I am not touching Oakley.
Mom: Stop pushing your wagon into the dog or you will go to your room.
Nicole: All of me
Mom: Yes all of you needs to leave the dog alone
Nicole: All of me in my room
Me: Yes all of you will be put in your room
Nicole: What about my nose?
Me: Yes your nose will be in your room with you.
Nicole: What if some one breaks in and cuts off my nose?
Mom: Nobody is going to cut off your nose.
Nicole: what if my nose gets cut off and is touching Oakley.
Mom: Now that is just silly. Why would your nose be missing and touching the Oakley?
Nicole: So that it would have to go to time out.
Now if that is not thinking I don't know what is.

My kids and our dog

The Golden Gate Bridge in the back ground. New Years weekend 2009.

We had such a great day at the Exploratorium in San Francisco.

For Christmas we got a Magic Bullet. We have made smoothies in them almost every night. The kids love it because they get to choose which frozen fruit they have in their cup.

They had to show off their mustaches.

Nicole loves make-up. So I decided one night that we could do some mommy/daughter bonding this is the end results. Nicole loved her beads and earrings. We went to the DI and bought all the clip on earrings and all the bead necklaces that they had. Nicole has been in heaven ever since.

I think that I could be a model! If only Nicole would go pro as a make-up artist.

Nicole is definitely the queen of her own style.

Over the last month Nicole has been walking around the house singing "Hello, Hello." This is now her favorite primary song. She has been telling us all about John the Basket and how he was Jesus' friend. She is such a funny little girl.

This weekend was the annual Monster Truck show at the Arco Arena. So Christian and the boys went with a group of friends (because it is boys weekend only). The boys loved the the cars that transformed into robots. It was a great night for all.

Nicole and I stayed home. We painted each others Nails. My toes ended up with paint up to the knuckles, it was still very fun to spend just mom and daughter time together. Nicole had a blast being big enough to use the finger nail polish. She read to me out of the scriptures and told me lots about the pictures in the Book of Mormon. We ended the evening with watching the beginning of "Mama Mia". Now before anyone gasps that I showed it to a 3 year old, she only made it through about 5 minutes of the movie and was a sleep. Her new favorite song is "Mama Mia" She tries to sing it. But after she was a sleep I got to watch it in full and loved it. I guess all that ABBA music growing up just grew on me.

I get a kick out of watching the kids love our dog. She is so good with them and she still treats them like puppies on a few occasions. You would think that Nicole and the dog are like magnets. Nicole can not leave Oakley alone for more than 30 seconds with out climbing on top of her, or rolling over her, whispering in her ear (she really hasn't mastered the whisper part, but it is still cute), and when Oakley has had enough she will growl and then snip a little. Which is when Nicole comes in crying and I give her a big hug and a big reminder that Oakley needs some space. Then she leaves and goes right back to being with the dog. Aaron is so funny, he will walk in the house see Oakley and say "I knew you missed me the most." I love to hear him say that to her. But he will get her so wound up that I have to step up and keep that dog from plowing him over. Isaac loves to help walk her, she is so strong that it is more of her walking them. She is getting so much better since we got the Halti, it has made all the difference with her. He loves to brush her and feed her. I love that he is starting to get responsible.

This year is coming to an end!

We have had a great last 2 months. Aaron turned 6, Nicole turned 3, Thanksgiving (a 24 hour drive to Salt Lake and back), Oakley came to live with us, Boys went back to school, 3 weeks in school then off for christmas, Christmas, and then here we are today.

Lone Peak (We miss our mountains)
We had such a great Thanksgiving. It was so much fun to see family and all the cousins that live in Utah. The kids got to play in snow and asked "how do you make a snowball?" Christian was able to get a few new t-shirts from Alta Ski Resort (his favorite place to ski). We also got a new puppy (well she is not so little, but not full grown). Her name is Oakley and we love her. We had to hide all things that are made of paper and all the shoes in the house (she just can't seem to consume enough of these two items). She is now finally puppy potty trained. No more accidents (keep your fingers crossed).

Now you know we are not use to snow. Nicole is in a dress. We celebrated Cade's birthday. I think this is a great way to eat a cake, just dive right in.

The kids had a blast trying to break the Unicorn Pinata
We are teaching our kids young how to play the slots (fun times at Christian's Aunt and Uncles home)

Hogal Zoo wasn't to cold on Thanksgiving Morning. The one thing Nicole asked for when we went to see her grandma's and papa's was to have my parents take her to the Zoo. So on Thanksgiving Morning we walked around the Hogle Zoo.

Here she is our beautiful black lab.

We had a great Christmas. We went to my brothers house in Tracy on Christmas Eve and had a great time. There were lots of people to hang out with. The kids decorated Gingerbread cookies after dinner and they sure looked tasty with all the toppings.
Nicole, Madelyn, Jillian had so much fun playing togetherAaron is the Christmas "Ferre" .The making of the cookies.

Aaron could not wait to go home and play with his new "star wars oven"
Got to love the boots.
My brother Bryan what a goof.

Fun weekend with the cousins!

We had so much fun this weekend. Here are a few of the pics to share with everyone.

Random things that have happened in the last month!

The kids carved there own pumpkins for Halloween. Aarons pumpkin was so hungry that it ate its own eye.
Isaacs pumpkin has a scary mouth.

Daddy help Nicole carve her happy pumpkin.

Isaac went on a walking field trip to the pumpkin patch.

We had a fun time for Halloween. Isaac was Luke Skywalker, Aaron was Indian Jones, Nicole was a Lion (she says she was a tirger)

Christian is the "saftey guy"
Nicole and some of her little friends at the pumpkin patch. They had wagons for us to use to collect the pumpkins we wanted to buy, but Nicole thought it was great just to give the pumpkins a ride around the patch.
One of the first rainy days of winter. My kids and some of their friends were playing with pillow cases and pretending they were rocks.

Aaron is 6!

Aaron is now 6!

Aaron is so big now that he is 6. He had such a fun birthday and loved all the gifts that he got. The one thing he asked me for this year was a rectangle chocolate cake with chocolate frosting.
We had the california cousins stay the weekend and on Saturday he had his best friend Emily come over for icecream.
